Folding stool
Pals Design Foundation
Our professors at the university were often late, so we always sat on the floor in the corridor. In order to solve this problem Thomas Lischke and I designed a folding stool. It is a simple, made out of wood piece of furniture that can be used in many different ways and can be transported flat as a board. The folding mechanism is integrated in two pivot points in the legs. A stop mechanism precisely controls the moment of movement. The logo is hammered into the end-grain wood, using a metal stamp. Due to several requests within our studies we produced and sold a first series. Two years later Pals (UG) was founded, together with Thomas Lischke.
