"Be on the way" is an experimentally oriented design study with the aim of creating an innovative shoe. Approaching the designs on a scale of 1:1 using a wide variety of materials, the form, function, details and typologies developed in a process-oriented way.
One final design represents the results of the experimental study. It combines the characteristics of a flip-flop and a sandal. The shoe feels open and free, but offers a firm grip thanks to the strap. The outsole is made of natural rubber, the midsole is made of milled cork, and the upper is a thick cotton strap tightened by a small elastic nylon cord. The use of sustainable materials give the shoe a natural character.
